Bandu catering is a family run business and has experience in catering for over 14 years.
At Bandu we have created a new concept of mixing native and contemporary Australian Cuisine to create a unique blend of flavours. We aim to introduce native foods used as a staple diet by Indigenous Australians for generations and promote their use and flavours into contemporary Australian foods.
We cater for Indigenous and non Indigenous food styles.
Traditional Australian bush foods along with providing a rich balance diet are also beneficial for medicinal purposes. We have provided some information on common bush tucker foods and how they can be used. These include among others lemon myrtle, warrigal greens and mountain pepper berry.
Bandu has provided catering for a range of functions and celebrations including the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Day of Observation Committee, Reconciliation week, Sorry Day, Canberra Multicultural Festival and various International visitors. Clients have included various Federal, State and local government organisations such as DEEWR, NHMRC, AIHW, APSC, FAHCSIA and the Governor General. We have also catered for the Sydney Olympic Games Committee and a range of non-Government organisations including Relationships Australia, Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Medical Service and Yaama Personnel.
